Flop: Cbet for value, could be a bit bigger, but board is pretty dry.
Turn: I was betting for value again, I wanted to get my money from 44-99, Jx, overcards types of hands. After that, it was basically an all-in. Which meant I had to call 1,73 to win 2,77. Also, I needed 38,4% equity.
I was toying around with Poker Ranger, and if I put him on a JJ+, 88, 22, 33, AJ range my equity is actually 47,3%
If I put him on a range of JJ, 88, 22, 33 however, my equity is 4,55%
In the game I was pretty damn sure he had a set, but looking back now, I can certainly imagine him trapping with AA, KK, QQ. Also, he could have check-raised turn with an AJ, seeing the spade, either to protect his TPTK against a flush, or having AsJs himself and getting value. Still, most players would bet themselves I believe.
Even then, I think most players would only play their sets that way, and villain was an unknown, so folding was probably the right choice. But if I had info on the villain that he likes check-raising, it would it be +EV to shove in this situation?
