Playing the Big Double last night and had already been knocked out of one, when my KTs paired a K on the flop v QQ only to be rivered with a third Q!
So my only option was to finish ITM in the second double.
CO was massive chip leader in the tournament - playing very loose, but I had seen him play KK twice, both times very aggressively. I was hoping to use his looseness to try and double up and move to 2nd out of 19 (7 ITM)
I thought AT on the button was my chance when Villain just called a previous
caller. I raised and got 2 callers. When the flop was rainbow and both players had checked to me my read on CO was that he had at best a low pair, but more likely hands like 87o, 76o, 97s, 85s, worth limping into a pot with, but not cards you would want to raise with. If he had hands like K7s, QTs I suspected he would raise preflop to isolate MP+1 and use his stack to bully him from position.
Having put him on a hand I was committed to being aggressive, especially as my hand could improve with either an A, J or T!
