MP: 103.7 BB (VPIP: 22.22, PFR: 15.56, 3Bet Preflop: 6.98, Hands: 137)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♥ 8♥

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 2 BB, fold, Hero raises to 6 BB, BTN calls 4 BB

Flop: (12.5 BB, 2 players) 2♥ Q♥ 6♠
Hero bets 7 BB, BTN calls 7 BB

Turn: (26.5 BB, 2 players) K♠
Hero bets 28.1 BB and is all-in

After doing a whole lot of analysis about the turn shove I've come to the conclusion that it's pretty close to breakeven but probably slightly bad, based on him calling the flop with 66-JJ, a bunch of Qx and a couple of FDs and calling the turn with 66,JJ,about half the Qx (although maybe this is hopeful) and half the FDs. If you disagree either way please let me know.

I guess a more important question is how do you rate 3betting this hand vs a fish? would it be better to call?

I have a note that he's called a 3b before with A4s so I guess he'll be folding a lot to cbets

Hi bradomurder

Preflop: I don't see value in 3-betting this when we play midstacked and since he is IP I wouldn't count on him folding a lot to cbets

Postflop: I think the key here is to set up your stacks better so you can actually bet/shove without having to slightly overbet.

And your hand equity is so strong still that I don't see a problem shipping.
