Hi

Opponent in 72 hands: 26/21

I didn't cbet because I didn't wanted to have to fold vs a raise, and also to have some made hands in my chbh range in this spot.

On the turn if he would bet bigger, probably I would just call, but here I decide to raise; I think there are worst hands than mine that would call (and also a lot of better ones because I don't represent the str8, so I'm not sure about my raise), when he shoves, well I have the equity to continue.

What do you think?

Regards

i only check flop against people who are able to attack often and light. against unknowns or your standard reg i cbet this.
i don't really like the turn raise, even though it's true that you often have the best hand the raise is not really good for you hand. i doubt you get a lot of action by worse, you kind of overrep your hand (even though you are capped because of flop check).
i just call and see a river.

Hi,

well i'm wondering if i wouldn't just bet/stackoff here. The SPR is kinda akward, so i guess checking behind is fine if you don't want to gii otf vs villain. But usually you are getting value by raising; most agro regs should be jamming wider than just J9 here.

As played yeah turn raise makes no sense here cause you never have the nuts. He does bet very small though, and u usually do have the best hand. I actually don't mind the raise. I see the merits of it, you get value from better fd's and wraps.

However the standard is to call, and prob call plenty of rivers since ur hand is severly underreped.

Regards,

Skod
