How to play this Hand?
I always have some trouble with pocketpairs postflop. Because they have very very small chance to improve.
I give him this cold-calling range:
JJ-22, AQs-ATs, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s
My Equity against that Range is very good:
Board: A♥6♥6♠
Equity Win Tie
MP2 30.57% 29.74% 0.84% { JJ-22, AQs-ATs, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s }
MP3 69.43% 68.59% 0.84% { TT }
I think this is because all of the pp below TT and also the KTs+,QTs+ and suited connectors which very likely didn't hit the flop. (Except the suited hands with hearts)
So therefore I think I should Continuation Bet so that he can't take a free card with KTs for example. (For protection, but I remember to read from a book that there are only 2 reasons for betting. (For value or as bluff) and not for protection) Is that a valid reason?
However I cbettet and he called. I think he could call with all SuitedConnectors and Broadway cards which have a flushdraw.
Also with all ATs+ Hands.
Board: A♥6♥6♠
Equity Win Tie
MP2 77.14% 76.94% 0.20% { JJ, 66, AQs-ATs, 76s, 65s, KhQh, KhJh, QhJh, KhTh, QhTh, JhTh, Th9h, 9h8h, 8h7h }
MP3 22.86% 22.67% 0.20% { TT }
Now I have very little Equity and decided to check / fold.
But I think this is a very exploitative line because he could float me with like anythink.
I thought about check/calling on the flop so I could get value from more of his hands like KTs which have not hit. (if he bets those) Also his equity on the turn would more likely not shift to much to his favor.
