There was some history prior to this hand.
Villain was 3-betting me frequently and I tightened up, about four hands before this I 4-bet him with AKs and he folded. I hadn't seen his 3-bet hands at show down but on this hand I gave him credit for having a decent hand.
I figured his 3-bet range as all premium pairs AA-JJ, all Broadway Ace's, plus a variety of other Broardways, KQ, KJ, QJ. I excluded J10, and lower suited connectors.
I was tempted to 4-bet fold with 99, but I actually was happy to call and if I hit then I was sure to get at least a decent flop c-bet if I checked.
I think I played the post flop ok, my check raise on the turn was to set-up the shove on the river.
How was my pre-flop play based on the potted history above?
