I don't think he has much of a turn calling range that didn't boat up. He could have picked up diamonds on the turn and called with that, or he could have a T high straight. Other than that his whole range should be boats. On the other hand he will bet the river 100% if I check to him.

Flop play seems fine. Turn bet is much too small indeed. If you're worried about getting outplayed on the river in a large pot from OOP, checking makes more sense. I wouldn't check in this spot though because a huge number of straights will pay off at least one street.

On the river I see a FH often for 4 reasons:
- There are tons of possible FH draws.
- On the turn we haven't priced out any of them.
- The flop contains a straight, so sets and 2P usually just call multiway.
- There's no FD on the flop and we block the BDFD.

The only argument for calling is our pair blocker, but because of the sheer number of FH draws that villain could have I doubt that this is relevant.

I think ch/f is absolutely the best play until we know more about villain.

ETBrooD summed it up well;

definetly bomb turn; there are so many worse hands that call you now.

I completly disagree that he will bet river 100% of the time on the 7; he will bet all his boats, but he will not bet the T high straight, and people are often afraid to bluff here so he won't bluff even if he has a busted draw;

however the boats are more likely here, so imo it's an easy c/f.
