Winrate difference between 4NL and 6NL

I have played 12 - 15K at each of 2Nl, 4NL and 6NL limits. Some 5k hands on 10NL. The winrate at 2NL and 4NL were similar 6.9 - 7.9 bb/100 but the winrate for 6NL is terrible for 10k hands, not even 1.5bb/100 :(

I am playing the same way. Is it just variance?

It could be. 15k hands is really nothing.

you need about 800k hands to estimate your real winrate within 2bb/100 with a 95% confidence level

hmm thanks a lot guys. I was so worried. I guess i will just keep playing and learning. But then how would I know I beat a limit. Right now, I am moving up when I have enough bankroll and when I am confident that I can beat the limit. Is that alright?

You never really know for sure, but you can usually tell when you have a big edge and if you feel like you do and you have the bankroll to move up it can't hurt to take some shots at the next limit.

Moved to No Limit Forum, it should be more appropriate place for it. :)
