River: (56.14 BB, 2 players) 3♣
Hero checks, CO bets 53.62 BB, Hero ?

pre 3b?
villian opens 50% so fare only 46 hands but seemed on the looser side
Turn: after he checks behind i decide to bet. often people just give up ott when they check behind
now he raises and i was a litte bit confused. could be a picked up set or a wrap. i decide to call and ev river (should i just fold?)
river: very polarized imo. a set he would bet otf. he only reps TT here imo
and its wired that he pot. also the 3 could help me more than him.

would u mind a call here?

not 3betting pre, you're oop and deepish, sucks to play this against competent villains (which he seems to be, going with the first impression).

i'm not sure about the turn play, you say they often fold after checking back flop. i think it's true, but not neccessarily in this case. if he were to give up he would probably still cbet flop as the board is really dry and he has good immediate FE with a cbet. i rarely see regs not cbetting this with air.
once he raises i think it becomes interesting because he is capped. yes he might have tens, but you block it. i think it's way more often a wrap. i don't think this is a spot where people check behind flop with vulnerable hands in order to raise safe turns, so imo this is mostly just a wrap. the question is how we want to continue against what is most likely a wrap. i wonder if 3betting makes sense, especially since he is capped and we ain't. i don't think i'm ever folding, but i might be fighting for pots too hard sometimes, idk.

as played i call river, after you call the turn you are also capped and he has an easy bet with all his bluffs.

Hi,

yeah the hand is wired indeed _cool:

I like what you deducted so far. Really looks like a wrap here, but i really can't see a competent villain taking such an obvious wrap line. On one hand this looks exactly like a wrap, on the other, he should know it does, and could be vbetting something wierd here.

Still not folding probably, as his line is just superwierd.

Skod

well, actually we where right.

it was a picked up wrap...unfortunally with a Pair of J in it..so i call and lost vs a single Jack.

I dont know if he did it for value or as a bluff but i guess it was a bluff and i was unlucky he had something with his wrap. I guess he would also pot it with a weaker T or nacked wrap...(?)

Hi,

yeah his bet otr is really ridiculous here. I mean it's a great play if he knows what you know, but i really doubt it, and i think he was just clicking buttons :)

Regards,

Skod
