Preflop: Hero is BB with K 9
MP posts BB OOP, CO posts BB OOP, MP checks, CO checks, BTN folds, SB completes, Hero checks

Flop: (4 SB) A 9 9 (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP raises, CO folds, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, MP calls, SB calls

Turn: (8 BB) 3 (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP calls

River: (11 BB) 7 (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP calls

Results:14 BB pot (0.3 BB rake)
Final Board: A 9 9 3 7

SB: 56/10/0 agg% 35 wtsd 44
MP: 50/11/0 agg% 31 wtsd 47

Cap the Flop and obtain the initiative is definitely the safe way although just calling the flop3bet in order to raise the turn is a valid line , too. But he might become scared on the Turn and the way worst scenario would it be if he is on a flushdraw and checks back on the Turn. oh i just recognized that you were IP so i would not cap in position but use your positional advantage and just call the Flop and raise the Turn. Certainly he's not folding Ax and you want him to 3bet with a worse 9. So raise Turn and cap if he's gonna 3bet.

After he donked the Turn you still have Trips and just A9 is ahead of you. Easy raise again since you must play for value and you dont want mp to be seing to river for just 1BB. but get the most out of him with his flushdraw.
