Is there a topic on hand selection for the 6-man tbls(cash game)?

Much of PokerStrategy.com's theory (articles, videos, coachings) concentrates on Short Handed / 6max / cash game tables with max. 6 players.

Our basic articles don't touch this topic too quick because for beginners in most cases it is better to start at Full Ring / 10max games - they are easier to grab for someone new to poker and it is easier to dodge hard spots in which you need more experience and knowledge.

But if you already are an experienced poker player, you will quickly be silver status or higher, and there's plenty of short handed stuff.

A few examples with teaser:

Could you use the 6-max SHC's in the fixed limit articles on no limit tables as well or would they not work?

Nope, FL and NL are far different.

But there are also plenty of articles including everything you need pre-flop for No-Limit SH!

Thank you for your answer Xantos.

I've just read the NL article "Switching from FR to SH" and the suggested hand chart included only mentions raising when no one has entered the pot, so is it not recommended to call any bets/raises when your beginning SH.

strategy points not updated yet can't read it...:P

Hi you can also look for tips on other sites till your gold

There is a lot of info regarding this.
I switched to SH completely from FR and have also never read an article about it here.

The game is still the same, its just fewer players.
