Hi

opponent in 109 hands: 47/22, AF 1.6, fold to cbet 60

On the turn I would ch/r vs an aggressive opponent, but against this guy I decide to bet the blockers and my FDs. On the river, would you fire again? if yes, what better hands would you expect that he folds?

Regards

not sure if we need to bluff this hand by the river. Sure, we have blockers to topstraight, but we have to fds-> he is likely to have a non fd/SDV hand.
Furthermore its plo25 and he seems fishy.

It may sound weak, but i think x/f can be fine. Also because you have so much eq on the turn that you dont need to bluff river to make your barrel +ev.
Phil Galfond said once that one heavily should consider checking after one's super-duper 40 out draw busts because it's just very likely that V. has a Value hand then.

If you want to bluff you need to pot it though!

Hi,

turn pot is a really bad play here. You have 2 very nutty draws; so by potting here you are making some fd's fold, which are usually very far behind and still pay you off when you hit. There's nothing to protect vs there, so the big bet isn't best.

OTR it's close. Firing can't be bad. I'm just wondering if we are folding out 2 pair ( we are never folding out some lower straights).

It's a judgment call.

Regards,

Skod

Villian is passive, not going to necesarilly bluff at this spot. It is hard to balance out a x/r here too I think because this board is better for the CO and therefore he should have more straights/sets. We wouldn't slow down with our straights or sets or even two pair if you think he is a station so why x/r?
