If you are 3 barreling as a bluff then its a pretty bad play since bluffing passive fish when you have a made hand is not the right strat.
If you are 3 barreling for value its a bit better since you may actually get some Ahigh calldowns but overall in unraised pot I think its a spew.When raised on river its a super easy snap fold since you beat only a total air which which will not be there 1:7.
So the right answer lies somewhere in between. I personally even think that just simple c/f on the flop is a pretty safe way since pot is rly small and there are almost no good turn cards for you.
But if you want to go for other high variance plays then I see two other options.
Either to c/c flop and let him go for a bluff which in a small pot is generally a good idea as protection looses value. Sure in this case you are then put in another though turn spot in case he bets again. Generally if I intend to go for this line I would call him down on reasonably decent cards(this turn is one of the best! and also is river!)
Second option is to bet flop then on a good card bet turn and c/f river. This line is good when you assume he is very SD bound,passive and calls way too light on flop. Problem with this line that you are investing quite a bit with a shitty hand which can be drawing to 2 outs.
So I would:
- if I only know that he is a fish out of his stats...c/f,there are many more profitable spots to get $$ from him than this;this line is also just fine if you assume he is not too irrational postflop and you think you can get away by just checking down you hand sometimes.
- if you have a read that fish likes to bet whenever you check to him then its a perfect c/calldown spot especially on board like this since fish usually tend to be very polorised(meaning that he will only valuebet very good hands...like Kx+ and check weak made hands...5x,pockets...which will make % of bluffs quite big)
- if you have a read that guy is not inducable but is way too light on calls and at the same time does not make bluffraises then b/f-b/f-c/f line is pretty decent
Sure bluffing this board looks apealing but this hand should not be a part of that range. If you had a hand like Th2h then betting flop would make much more sense
