GTECH G2 (Boss) - kr1 NL (5 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 210.28 BB (VPIP: 38.98, PFR: 16.95, 3Bet Preflop: 5.56, Hands: 59)
CO: 203.13 BB (VPIP: 21.05, PFR: 19.55, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 134)
Hero (BTN): 92.64 BB
SB: 40.5 BB (VPIP: -, PFR: -, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 1)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♦ K♥

Note: . I 3-bet for value. In case I get a call I will have an SPR of 76/20= 3,8. This is great for TPTK kind of hands so I plan to commit the remainder of my stack in case I hit a king.

CO raises to 2.87 BB, Hero raises to 8.3 BB, fold, BB calls 7.3 BB, fold

Flop: (19.97 BB, 2 players) J♠ 6♠ K♦

Note: OK. First goal accomplished. I bet for value and hope to get a call from KQ,KJ,KT and flush draws. But: What should be my plan if the flush card falls OTT? Check/fold?

BB checks, Hero bets 19.97 BB, BB calls 19.97 BB

Turn: (59.91 BB, 2 players) 2♠
BB checks, Hero bets 64.37 BB and is all-in, BB calls 64.37 BB

River: (188.65 BB, 2 players) 5♥

Spoiler

BB shows Q♠ 5♠ (Flush, Queen High) (Pre 37%, Flop 38%, Turn 100%)
Hero shows A♦ K♥ (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 63%, Flop 62%, Turn 0%)
BB wins 183.94 BB

Preflop: CO is probably opening wide enough for a 3bet for value. BB cc which suggests a medium-strong hand, although given how loose he's calling so far (big gap between vpip and pfr) he may have a more speculative hand.
flop: you make a huge bet here, which may make fds and jx hands fold, isolating vs the stronger part of his range. I think if he raises over your flop bet you can fold because villains just don't semi bluff enough at the micros. By making your flop size smaller you keep villain's range wider
Turn: because of your large flop bet I guess you are fairly committed here. Villain could have spade+tp hands in his range, which would check back if you check, so you have to bet. I think checking turn would be a chk/fold. If we had bet flop smaller then could bet/fold small, (1/3 pot) the flush turn. (As there would be more weaker hands that we can take thin value from).

If you look at this particular hand though you get Bb to call preflop with trash then take max value from his FD. It just sucks that he hit his hand.

Keep it stumpy :f_cool:

Hey Baggydogg,

Preflop 3b for value is fine here..

Flop is fine.

We are not committed on flush turn in most cases. We have two options. We can either x/f or we can underbet for thin-value and protection with the intention of folding to a shove.

u r just stacking all flushies

half bet on turn and use your brake.

when ppl call pot bet on flop u need to know that they hv some outs - flush is quite obv here. one pair is vulnerable - be able to lay down.

Tank you also
w34z3l and Superbrain.
I will be less aggressive in my betsizing postflop in the future to avoid getting stacked in situations like these.
