Vilain 34/25/20 (vpip/pfr/3bet) on 32 hands

I reraise OTF to represent trips or high pocket pair.
On turn after board gives me another spade I continue with aggression and raise again. After his reraise I understand that I am not ahead. Still I call this reraise because of outs I have.
How would You play this hand?

Hi KKNgroup

Unless villain can call really light there's not a lot of value in reraising the flop. Afterall he opened early position.

And why would you want to represent trips or high pairs with your TPTK? Don't you want worse to call you because folding better is out of the question?

And on the turn you can just check because betting achieves nothing really.

Thank You for Your reply, Mr. Bogdan!
On the flop I can put him on high pocket pairs or some nice broadway.
If he`s on just broadway - board does not fits well with that, so reraising his CB may force him to fold.
On the other hand - if he has high pocket pair at this position - he would usually call, but be cautious on the turn (unless he has KK or AA).

I have such a thinking that he would usually raise big if I just check turn to him. So maybe this raise would be like blocker bet in hope that he would just call..

Sorry if you heard this before, and I know it looks like you took this hand out of Holdem Manager or something but I'm still going to plug the link http://www.handconverter.com/ I think it makes hands look a lot prettier and easier to read.

On the flop its quite interesting what happens to your calling range if you check-raise this hand. I think this is a spot where you will start leaving yourself open to some sort of playback from your opponent in some area if you start check-raising flops like this.

On the other hand, maybe not that many opponents at NL10 are thinking about it like me :f_cool:

@Daphunk: definitely not worried about "balancing" at 10nl but rather worried about how I can maximize value versus my opponents.

And raising UTG raises on dry flop with TP will rarely get us enough value.

@KKNGroup: And if you block bet turn and he just calls what do you do then? You still have a street to play OOP with a pot size bet left behind. So that's a problem.

Also a block bet (ie: small bet) has the power to induce as well, if he had a wide range.

Thank you for making me to think.

I hope You will not be mad at me, if I am on the same topic for once more. I just want to understand why it is not recommended to do such a pattern on this board.

Maybe I was too aggressive on flop vs UTG and reraising is not best play - I can agree to that. (I just wanted to try out this move).

So, as played, on the turn I get extra outs of nut spade draw - that is reason to make this semi bluff / blocker bet. So, only hands he would call me is high pocket pairs or flush draw.
I am not sure how many of the times he has JJ+ here. But usually those combos are not so often. But on the other times my aggression on flop and small bet (could look like value bet to my opponent) on river would make him fold. Is not that true?
If he just calls my small "value" bet, then I would hope that spade would arive on river. If no spade come - I would check and call small raise from opponent.

Is not that true? i notice you c/f river so i assume u mean the turn card. correct in a sense that aggression can win you pots without show down
