hi all;

can someone help me to understand these guys?

+ makimaki has another 11k hands on 3/6 and - $2k
+ knaster has another 5k hands on 3/6 and -$600

These are all hands they played so far this month (10 days & few hours). I understand rakeback can be huge on these limits (0.6 - 0.9 BB on 5/10 and 0.7 - 1.0 BB on 3/6), but it's weird to have all TOP5 players (in volume) losers :rolleyes:

OK, InlL use to play 9-12 tables 5/10 so -0.68 can be enough to be in green numbers, but the rest of them??

Do they know some kind of "lose to win" strategy or what???
(I don't expect a lot of replies, but maybe you know someone in that table :))

Maybe they are all on a 40k hands downswing? It can happen.

Otherwise, ask TerrorBlade, he's been there I'm just joking, no offens.

it doesn't matter here, because SNE rakeback is worth ~1 BB/100 hands... so he is still in red...

Are you serious?? I know you mentioned 700 or 800 BB downswing on 5/10 before but not in 10 days.. or better to say: I doubt it was so short episode; or am I wrong? :/

These players lost thousends of $$$ in 10 days on low limits and they're playing more or less TAG style (or TAGFISH :P).

btw: I use to play with player called 2_Basic (I'm sure Stars players know him) quite often. His stats are 34 / 24 / 3 / 39 after 81k hands and his winrate is amazing 3.10 BB/100 hands... How can anyone say (e.g. a lot of posters on 2+2) that LAG or LAGTAG style isn't/can't be profitable on limits below 5/10 :P

But how many players average?

If it has a lot of 3,4-max in it it's definitely not tight, and the winrate is easier to get.

I think the time period isn't important here. You have 40k hand samples and they lost that much $$$ in 40k hands, I think it can easily happen to anyone even good players.

Really? But still, isn't 3BB+/100 a little tough to get anywhere on or above 5/10?

he's playing mainly 2/4 (and 3/6 & 5/T sometimes) 6-max (there're no 4max tables and it's rare to see 3-4 people on the table on Stars for few mins). I said limits below 5/10, because I recently read few threads on 2+2 and lot of players (including Oink) said that this style can be hardly profitable on such low limits due to rake mainly..

3BB is tough to get on 2/4 too with decent samplesize (81k is much more than decent I think), so be careful who's sitting to your left ;)

If you go to his summary tab you can see the average number of players.

no you can't, because it's Site Summary so it reflects all games played on chosen date, no matter who's stats you are looking at.
But I filtered out only hands with 5 and 6 players at the table and nothing has changed: 81.4k hands; 3.10 winrate

lol;
some light conversation during the downswing period is neccessary :P

I wanted to start similar thread to this, but not going to do that because of your comment :evil:

edit: english Fixed limit subforum is quite dead often and this thread got more hits than the most others (and in few hours)

not silly; just unimportant ;)

I've played lots of hands with dbeckham in the past. He's a good player and earns two $1500 rewards every month. I can't speak for the other players but for him it's definitely just a downswing.
