How many card's combinations are in poker?

Hey Gpoceko,
That of course depends on the format you're playing and what exactly you mean by "card combinations".
If we're talking about Holdem and your hole cards, then there are 1326 different combinations. We get this by doing 52 * 51 / 2. We divide it by two because for example AdJc and JcAd are exactly the same hand so we can count those two hands as one hand combination.
In Omaha though, there are actually 270725 different starting hand combinations. We get this by doing 52 * 51 * 50 * 49 / 24. In this case we divide by 24 because there's 24 different ways in which we can get 4 specific cards.
