This situation came up and I was looking to see if folding JTs was correct (it was ♦). When I checked it on HRC, I looked at BB's call range as well and was kind of surprised.
PU CA Range
BU 40.3%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K7o+ Q5s+ Q9o+ J7s+ J9o+ T7s+ T9o 97s+ 86s+ 76s
SB 6.6%, 99+ ATs+ AJo+
BB 33.6%, 22+ Ax+ K3s+ K7o+ Q8s+ QTo+ J9s+ JTo T9s
I'm just curious as to why the range is so wide for BB to call here. The SB will likely be eliminated shortly so calling your stack off with J9s or K7o seems kind of strange in this spot. Only reasoning I can think of is that since the push range for BTN is wide and if BB calls and wins, he takes over a monster stack with a very good chance at 1st place. But then again HRC doesn't show -$EV calls so there must be a different explanation. Anyone that can explain this spot? Thank you!
