PartyGaming - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $4.34
BB: $4.34
UTG: $1.05
MP: $4.21
Hero (CO): $10.74
BTN: $3.94

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero has A♥ A♦

fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.12, fold, SB calls $0.10, fold

Flop: ($0.28, 2 players) 5♠ 9♦ 7♦
SB bets $0.27, Hero calls $0.27

Turn: ($0.82, 2 players) T♦
SB bets $0.78, Hero calls $0.78

River: ($2.38, 2 players) T♠
SB bets $3.17 and is all-in, fold

SB wins $2.27

Villain unknown. Turn call is bad, imho. Fold is better... but the question is, would you shove the turn with that A blocker?

Would also be protecting overpairs by raising frequently on drawy flops.

What about the option of value-towning myself in this scenario on flop? The villain makes a pot-sized donk after all... If the villain is on a monster draw (T8s, 68s) then the villain will be glad to play for stacks right here... I sometimes donk with complete sets to induce raise from PFA/make him fold by protecting my hand on a heavy board like this where I dont want him to check behind...

100% agree, besides made hands he could also have a strong drawing hand, so by calling flop and turn you re decreasing variance. It calls low variance play that also fine.

raise flop mostly, although calling isn't terrible since we hold A :diamond:, but raising flop is better. don't think a second about folding turn, that would be very bad, folding river is best unless you have some strong reads. I think well played overall, but just don't ever think about folding turn.
