I don't like my bet on the flop vs two opponents w/ one overcard and a BDFD

Question for my enrichment; Do you ever shove the turn ? or thinking we have fold equity is too optimistic ? set of queens probably raise otf or shove turn, he probably has :club:, right ? probably can't make him fold the Qc,Kc, but rather extract value from some worse club cards and maybe make some lower pairs fold ?

Thanks

Hi legand73

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: @sneakyhand vs a supposed fish I don't think we can shove turn and expect many pairs to fold, especially Qx. I can see some TT-JJ folding but that's it.

Now back at the hand I think that 3-way with 2 shorter guys (fish) and just Ax w/ backdoor betting the flop is just spew.

And what's the point of the turn barrel? To prevent a larger bet?

PS: I see you dropped to nl10, what happened?

I agree, I didn't see that two guys were in the hand and so just bet thinking we were heads up. A bullshit mistake that i've probably been making similar mistakes too often.

Had/having a pretty crippling downswing period/ period of bad play. Trying to sort it out though by doing more reviews and stuff. Basically playing too robotic and not thinking enough/effectively

Ah I see.

That's unfortunate.

I see some hands that you post have some recurring themes so I would definitely focus on paying more attention to players/ranges on each street.

Cbetting flop is kinda meh. Could be fine if you like variance. You have A :club: which is good, not because you have it, but because villains dont have it
What I mean villains fd combos are very few.

According to that I may assume villain ranges are something like AQ/KQ maybe even QJ/QT (since they're not buy in full so assume fish), some 78/89/56, 88/TT. JJ will prob 4b pre, since fishes like doing that when they're down and villain seems to be down. Moreover we have blocker for JJ.

Sets are rare, cuz villain will prob raise it otf, but never can be sure what a fish will do. Still, I dont believe villain has a set.

According to what I wrote above your hand is fine played against a "reg". On the other hand, against a fish (which villain obvious is) is a spew. Fishes hate to fold and you need a ton of FE to be +EV your play.

You know what I mean, after you saw how the villain called you with KQo on 4 :club: board ;)
