Should I've paid? I didn't because there was an ultra short stack there (I think that's why he pushed)

Mandatory call with all the chips in the middle. Much depends on villains range with what to call here but for sure call with something like 66+ A9s+ ATo+ KJs+ KQo+. is fine here
