On turn I shove since I gain equity and I wanted to make a 9x hand to fold. How would you played?

Shove preflop all day long. Raising small with 88 is just asking for trouble as flop will very often have 2 overcards.

In flop I would likely check-evaluate. Calling smaller bet. This sort of villain does not like to fold so dont try bluffs like these.

I do not like isoing 18bb with a hand like 88 OOP. It just sucks. We can make an argument in HU, but this is ICM-oriented game. Which certainly takes some away from it. I ship it preflop any day of me life.
