vs big fish 40/10 3bet 14.3 AF 5.3 over 58 hands

On flop I raised for value. Hiss thin bet represents mainly an OESD or a FD hand. I also expect some of then to fold vs the re raise. When he continues I want to get a cheap SD.
However on river it gets really nasty. I complete the nuts str8 but the flush is out there.

I would not raise this sort of flop. He likely has some sort of draw or made hands he is not giving up often at all. So we build huge pot with A high. Also would you be raise-calling flop?

So I would just call and evaluate further streets. In river I am worried that villain can do this with enough worse hands like K9, KQ, 89, QJ, QT, maybe some Q8, Q9. So folding is too nitty imo. You only need to win pot around 33% of time.

Agree fully. You can't be raising flop for value. I just call. Folding riv is bad to me. He can definitely have worse value hands.
