I would check flop and bet turn and river on this run out. Could be losing some value versus some draws, but also allows villain to hit something he can pay two streets with. This villain seems passive so not that much value from allowing him to bluff, but versus more aggro fish or reg that is another positive side.

With another A coming in turn I would bet turn versus this villain. I think we can even fold if he goes for raise as he is more likely just calling with flush draw or Jx type of hand.

PS: As played in river I think villain would lead with Ax most of time so value betting river.

Check the flop because if he has an A hes obviously calling, is this a normal like you would take with KK and an A on the flop?

and now looking back I definitely should have bet the river as you say if he has an A he would surely bet

I agree fully. On flop that's a bit more wet, like AJ8ss- I bet flop for value, bet turn for value on this run out, just because he has more draws to call with.

Like this, I also prefer c/b and as played-bet turn for value. Yes, this is a standard line to take with KK on Axx boards. However, it's exploitable, so vs regs you play a lot, you might need to balance it.

Well KK is often good hand to keep in checking range especially in dry flops. Because it will be that you are either way ahead or way behind. Also getting value by cbetting is going to be hard. Well you can get value, but your plan will still be very often to check turn and evaluate river. Unless in some certain spot where you think Ax is not really in villain range and that he is capable to take hero call lines with some medium pair or K high or whatever. Like BvB 15bb deep versus aggro villain that quite probably shoves most Ax preflop.

Also in draw heavy Axx flops cbet can be tricky if villain might take aggro line with draws and check-raise. He could also have Ax or some other hand that beat us. So very often we are forced to fold or play tricky situations in future streets. If we expect villain to play passive with draws or that his value range is going to be thin (his check-raise range could be out of balance) then cbet is ok option.

But KK in also nice hand for checkback, call, call line because if villain thinks you have no Ax when you check and he has like QJ on AJ85 board he might go for two street value line. Or if he decides to bluff we might not lose that much more even when he has Ax with bluff catching. More tricky part e.g. versus reg might be if he uses sometimes overbets in river. Sometimes as bluff, sometimes as value with decent Ax or better.
