It depends on BTN's range as well. This to me looks too weak tbh, I prolly go with K9o+ most cases. It's one thing if he shoves and he's a reg and totally different when he 3x-es and is prolly a fish. Meaning that in the second example you are fighting a much stronger range.

I do call k7o if a reg is open shoving and I do fold it here vs this guy. Range vs a reg will be loose-any Ax, any pair, any suited kx, Qx-a lot of suited Jx, most offsuited Kx, any broadway-strong suited connectors. Vs this guy- I am going very tight.

Vs a good reg, I do call any Kx on that spot. Vs a fish open 3x (without reads) it's a clear fold.

PS. Unfortunately, I still haven't played much KO. I know the theory but I still havent get used to it. Nevertheless, I expect a reg to be very wide there. The nast range there on regular speed it is really wide (I'd say ~50%), if it is a KO it is even wider!

Concept is relatively easy imo. You call a bit wider when you have more chips than the one pushing, because of the bounty added. And also, you should imo ship looser vs smaller stacks, because of the added value of a possible bounty. Also, smaller stacks will call tighter vs bigger stacks, because they can't win a bounty...which makes pushing looser as a bigger stack even more profitable.

I use to play a lot of those back in the day and they were very, very profitable. Dunno how it is nowadays though.

I want to add that effect of bounty is works on the opposite side also. Means that when we have a small stack, especially when blinds have higher stacks we must sometimes reduces our pushing range, because of fact that a calling ranges opponents will be wider than in normal tournament.

That's why I haven't played KO until now. The dynamic of ICM is different from regulars games, and my ICM knowledge it is probly on of my best strengths.
