77-23, that's not that bad, i have a worse one at least once a session ♦ (altough, sick play with Q4s utg and with second pair and backdoor)

Ok I did this to a fella on the final table of a tournament. He was mad but took it alright and just called me a donk once. The thing is he was in a bad spot, if he could have raised the button by a lot I would have of course folded, but since he was short stack I couldn't take it seriously anymore. Thought I would just face another AK or a coin flip.

Anyway yes somewhat bad play on my part but result was quiet nice

So be happy you were not the guy on AA in this.

i dont think you played it as bad as you think, your stack size allowed for the call , worst case scenario you were left with 60% original size..

it was a bad beat for tha AA but that is all it is. you had to call.

Yup my exact thought line if I recall was:

Ak.. k goto raise this. Oh damn a re-raise. He must have good pockets or AK. I will just call him and see what the flop brings. Whoa oh look short stack is pushing a bit over the top, now I have to squeeze the button. At worst its a coin toss and I should defeat one of them giving me enough chips to continue. If I defeat the button I only loose 3k, if I loose overall I will still have enough left. Plus I need to get the chips in because if I am ahead on the flop he will insta-fold.

Flop: Oh look a K, alright it was a good choice to push.
River: hahahahaaha oh man this is great.
