Did I bet wrong because he didn't? I mean, when he called my bet pre-flop, should I assume he could have an ace and knowing that I had something probably less valuable he just called my bets? Or this pot bet on river could mean a bluff or donk act?

ps. this was just his 5th hand in table, so no notes about him

Flop cbet is ok I think - personally would not have bet the turn against unknown necessarily - not a huge mistake though. River fold is also the right move.

The villain could have 44 or even A4 here which would explain the aggressive river bet.

Bet on the flop is fine but I wouldn't bet the turn, and the title was set of nines I though u had to have a set lol
