Raising big and cbetting big vs this assumed fish but am I overkilling it by making my sizes too huge.

As a side note, even if this guy, in fact, wasn't fishy imagine we're facing a fish for purposes of my question :)

Hi legand73

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: look at the flop. Imagine villain had something? Would he care if you bet $3.5 or $4.5? Especially a fish?

I would say no, they only care about their hand. Is it a good pair? A draw? Something they like?

How about pre then? what do you reckon would be the limit. Surely I couldn't raise it to $5 cause as it is, it's over 4x. But I do want to make it as big as possible and still get calls.

4x+ is already big enough so I wouldn't push much more especially when villain is shorter.

If he was actually deeper with you there's a bigger argument for a larger raise. I'd even consider it lower in this case because of stack size.
