Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Villain was 25/19 cbet50%, cbet turn 80%, river agg% 62 (8 hands)

SB: $47.48 (95 bb)
BB: $76.82 (153.6 bb)
UTG: $70.06 (140.1 bb)
Hero (MP): $58.70 (117.4 bb)
CO: $52.37 (104.7 bb)
BTN: $53.32 (106.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A K
UTG raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 4 folds

Flop: ($3.75) Q 2 8 (2 players)
UTG bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75

Turn: ($9.25) A (2 players)
UTG bets $5, Hero calls $5

River: ($19.25) J (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $7, UTG raises to $24

I assumed he would bet AQ/AJ. Once he checked I thought I'll get value from PPs, KQ, some weaker aces etc, so I bet small. Once he check raised, I was confused but my small bet might have made him turn his hand into bluff. He also had no river cbets but still had river aggression 62% after 8 hands, so I was inclined to call. What do you think? Call or fold?

Hi pepevesterinen

Preflop: looks fine, could easily be a 3-bet as well.

Postflop: The sample you have on him ,especially for river aggression, is meaningless.

With that being said, given you underplayed your hand preflop and bet small on the river to the point of inducing I don't think you can fold.
