my question is, why would you even want to play chess for real money? things are very clear in chess, it's not like there are going to be tons of low rated fish (or any actually) just waiting to hand some money to higher rated players.
from the few sites that i've seen offering chess games for any kind of valuable currency, there are only three kinds of players in these games: masters, cheaters and sandbaggers... just waiting for some fish to play. the money tourneys in reputable chess sites are pretty much monopolized by GMs obv.

yeah i guess i assumed too far, but it's weird to ask for where you could find "reliable" "chess for money sites" and not being actually interested in playing these games...

Is there even pages where you can play chess for money? Sounds weird to me

I don't know for sure but there is this thing called Google that may know a little more than a Poker forum.

People cheat just for rating so its a pretty bad idea outside of live play.

You can play on chesscube. There are probably the best.
