I guess risking your job just for playing poker is not worth it. As a professional soccer player he will surely have earned more than as a poker player, unless he is really good.
I offer him a switching of places. He comes here and can keeps playing poker, and I go to Udine to play football, and both of us do what we like the most.
but you can only be a pro soccer player till a certain age, being a poker player afterwards would be the best plan to me
