Hero raises to 8€ MP raises to 30€, BU calls, fold, fold, Hero raises pot etc...
So MP is a nit who is letting his stack move down.
Even if his stack is short here, it's still a big hand.
BU some kind of weak reg
My opr is std i think.
I'm commit vs CO obv.
But vs BU
Here I raise for thoses reasons :
- make him fold big pairs (QQxx/KKxx) and some Axxx not monster that would be in a bad shape with this action.
- my hand is quite dominant here. give him a decent spot (odds, high cards/blockers in my range + CO range) to let him gamble some middle rundown I'm dominating (89TJ like)
... I could call and play a flop with a hand with floppability quite good.
But i'm oop (well the pot would be huge flop, so it's not a big problem)
And I felt that shoving preflop was optimizing for me, making BU folds hands that hurts me (Axxx, big pairs), and allow him to gamble dominated rundowns
