Hello,
My name is Craig I started playing poker back in 2010, I deposited $10 and turned it into $100 drew it off and repeated that again, only the 3rd time I couldn't win again :f_cry:. , I was playing for about 3 years with 3-6month breaks.
After about 3 years of playing on and off, my bankroll started to creep up (ever so slow :f_biggrin:). my dad decided to give me $500 to play with because he's a nice guy like that. one night I came back pissed out my head and lost it all to space gravy on pokerstars. I was kicking my self for months and months and haven't been able to play right since until recently.
shortly after this I bought a book "The art of modern day poker" I think it was called, and found my way here after JC TT and Manu said in the book somewhere lol, I still couldn't play right I was tilting after being at the table for ten minutes, so I decided to quit and have a break for a long time.
After a long 12 month break partying and socialising. I finished work one night, ate, showered and put Netflix on my pc and watched rounder's, suddenly the itch came back, and I couldn't help but load up pokerstars :f_thumbsup:.
But this time I'm not tilting (as much lol) and putting in more theory then practical at the moment. so I deposit $60 and started my poker adventure again. I watched a few vids on tilt and they changed my way of thinking completely. I definitely fell under the paranoid player last time. but after all the learning I've constructed a solid win rate at the NL25 and below, here is what I have played so far.
I watched some videos and read some strategy's on here as I was playing NL2 to start with, it was a bit rocky to begin with hadn't played for like a year so I was making some really common mistakes lol. after 2 days or so I was back to playing good poker in fact after the all the videos and theory I have put in I was playing better then I ever have before. my game was on a whole new level. I had a 3 hour session at 2NL and left the table with $22 ive never EVER got even close to that before. this had a very positive impact on me.
My bankroll was $77 after the 2 days it took me to get back into the game. I decided to take a shot at the Tankroll BRM after watching the video in the strategy section. so I played NL5 up to $100, then I played NL10 up to $150 then NL25 up to $250 in like 2 days I was flying until.... NL50 and those dreaded restealers, unfortunately this was new to me and I didn't know how to counteract it, everything I seemed to do was bad poker. to start with it was fine but then I struggled and was quickly back to NL25, I got up again then down again this happened about 5-6 times the last time I got up I had a very good session at NL25 in 30 minutes my BR went from $230-$370 then the worst thing happened my attempt at NL50 again... I tilted my $370 BR back to $105. But I have spent 2 days learning some more theory in the section I was struggling with resteals, and ive constructed a a game plan if I get back to NL50 I can tackle it better (rather then tilt shoving crap cause I don't know how to counteract ,y opponents lol) , only this time I will try to build up a BR of $1500 before trying to beat the NL50.
After my session today my bankroll is now $127 and my challenge is to turn that into $1500 to start with and keep it simple.
Ill post up some of my charts later when I get home. i look forward to making some new friends and good luck to you all and Merry Christmas x
