NL25z - bad river value shove?

well u ask if ok valueshove, and what worse u expect to get called by ? AK/AA only...(mb he 3bet KQ too, though KQs=0c, KQo=3c ) and not sure if reg gonna stackoff 160bb deep with TP only especially if FD came ... which he can still have some ....from his view: F bet can have some FEq, and turn x/c is good since often not so many FEq and can be often isolating from him if he chooses not to potcontrol his 1P ...

very interesting is his X OTR , since i also expect many regs to donk... though by checking he also gives u the space to bluff , though in this example u actually thought u r valuebetting which is funny , though u r beat only by 3c of KK and 1c of AKcc, and maybe can get called by reg's AKo rarely and 6c of AA , but still this valueshove is very thin IMO and maybe even isolating, since if he had AA,AKo he will be afraid of BDflush and really wouldnt want to call overbetshove IMO... so if valbet then smaller and bet/fold .. even against 1/3bet he wouldnt be raising his AKo or AA when flush completed IMO...

I like your play before river. There I am also betting, but smaller. 1/3 pot is nice, 1/2 max, since we want value from weak hands and suited river is scary for villain.

actually i would like this play if hero played this as a bluff, since reg can fold out so many combos , and call only so small, that it would actually might be +EV bluff lel

yup, i should have just bet 1/3 to 1/2 pot on the river. but bet/folding in this spot tilts the hell out of me. Which probably is a huge leak lol. And i dont think we can check behind here?

i think smallbet/folding and getin val from AA/AK is better than xbeh
but u can always xbeh if u want but u miss val from 17c then and are beaten by 4c or maybe more if guy haz some AJcc ATcc and others random XXcc like 89cc which he could be 3betting preflop as bluff

Even if we are never beat on the river we still need to ask ourself which hands are calling. And it's somewhat tough for a 1pair hand to call down on this river card.

So I agree that reducing river sizing may be for the best here.
