Omaha or Omaha hi-low?

Hi-Lo, at least I get the chance to get some of it back!

i would start with plo and then, after u get experience try some hi lo

PLO at Cashgame, O8 in MTTs

PLO8 is the easiest
It has quite a few benefits:
- basically can't make you tilt because of its low variance
- turning on run-it-twice on stars makes variance it lower
- that means you can begin playing with 5-10 buyins
- on microlimits you can play fit or fold profitably. You don't have to overthink.
- people mostly play too passively (then they usually have nut low + no high or crappy to middle-low + semi high) or too aggresively (you can often 3-bet pf and they lose balls)
- make notes of a few regs who are mostly nits (there's a very strong Belarusian though who you avoid - and you have to avoid me :f_cool:)
- there's always traffic at aggresive 6 max, whilst passive 9max runs more rarely but it's much more profitable.

Watch out for huge rake though as semmel81 probably meant

I like hi-lo as well... it can be frustrating but I enjoy the options
