Hero (SB): $38.02 (190.1 bb)
BB: $30.02 (150.1 bb)
UTG: $20 (100 bb)
MP: $9.42 (47.1 bb)
CO: $25.52 (127.6 bb)
BTN: $20 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A Q
UTG folds, MP calls $0.20, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, BB calls $0.65, MP calls $0.65

Flop: ($2.55) 9 8 Q (3 players)
Hero bets $1.90, BB calls $1.90, MP folds

Turn: ($6.35) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $3.17, Hero calls $3.17

River: ($12.69) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $6.34, Hero folds

BB- 48/11 over 67 hands, AF 4

Turn is potentially pretty spewy but I didn't exactly want to give my hand up to this fish even though that turn is a terrible card for our hand. Do I just bet flop bigger or something?

Hi legand,

In these spots I think you can experiment with betting smaller vs fish rather than giving them initiative. Something like $2 or so... works well vs the passive ones as most pairs and draws there still call.

This guy seems more aggro over small sample and I would prefer folding in such a spot. He ain't valuebetting worse generally and you need to play river.
