I’m probably Cbet the flop and give up on a raise

Now you are playing guessing game out of position with only 4 outs to hit your straight.
Don’t know how aggressive the CO is, but I’m most likely folding on flop against a random opponent on his pretty small bet. Is now difficult to improve your hand and you can expect more bets on flop and/or river.

As played I don’t think is to smart to lead the river.
What kind of hands you think you get value from?

First of all, you should make smaller openraise at this level. Max. 2.2x or something. You have to also call if SB shoves.

Any info from villain? I agree with SDK1987 about the flop play. Cbet and fold vs raise. As played, ch-fold.

As played, turn is well played but only because villain bet so small.

River is quite ugly because there is lot of better two pairs and hands like KT/AT/QT/TT so best thing to do is ch-fold like you did.

Hi Folks,

For me its a 50/50 SnG so chips have a actual and fixed value. - I reckon you would likely be cashing for almost double buy-in, which in a 50/50 is a good result.
So given you have 2 people who are likely to be out in 1 orbit (2 at most) for me I'm only looking to add to my stack, rather than risk it a play like this.

Happy with the raise pre-flop, but after this I would C-Bet and fold to a raise, if he calls check fold the turn.
Couple of reasons for this -
1 - Without knowledge of CO range, or if you had a habit of folding on later streets, he calls a raise from fellow big stack, which unless you were getting out of line suggests AX+/KX(s)+/pairs. So when he bets the flop I feel its hits most of what I would expect him to have, meaning even when we hit the Q a lot of the time we are still behind.
This then follows through, as by the time you got to the river and hit two pair you still wasn't in a position you could make a call.
2 - I'm recommending a tight play but it saves your stack, which equals cash in 50/50's
