BTN: 102.78 BB
SB: 168.72 BB
BB: 101.5 BB
UTG: 114.54 BB
MP: 106.84 BB
CO: 148.58 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB)
fold, fold, CO raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, BB raises to 12.24 BB, fold, BTN calls 9.24 BB

Flop: (27.98 BB, 2 players) 8♣ 9♦ Q♦
BB bets 14.34 BB, BTN calls 14.34 BB

Turn: (56.66 BB, 2 players) 4♠
BB requests TIME, BB checks, BTN checks

River: (56.66 BB, 2 players) 8♥
BB bets 74.92 BB and is all-in, ...

just a bit curious here. what is BB repping?
should BTN call all bluffcatchers, fold all bluffcatchers?
if somewhere in between, how many Qx+ BTN even has given the hand action?

I think BB had a plan to check/shove on a turn (let the opponent bluff his draws).
River is a safe card, and he probably wants to get maximum value from a :Qx: or JJ/TT, which might work with this weird line.

At least that's how I'd play AA sometimes.

Hi tomaloc,

There are actually two plausible scenarios here.

A) BB checked trying to get it in on the turn hoping BTN bets (if BTN is really aggrO).
B) BB knows that everyone is capped on weak ranges. SB checked every street. BTN checked back turn so he is not hoping to fold them off.

So this comes down to info/history between BTN and BB here. Without info could BB be so bold as to bluff? Of course, the ranges are still capped.
