you are playing too passively.

1st hand, you should be betting for value all the way with an 8 which is a strong hand.

2nd hand, you should bet for value, j983 is not strong against another badugi or several players drawing 1 to good badugi's but against players drawing 3 and 2 cards it is very strong (as long as they continue to draw). this hand is one that you might not want to value bet the river with because your not doing well against reasonable calling ranges.

3rd hand, your 3 card 10 is very weak you have no showdown value. draw 2 because you are more likely to make a strong 3 card badugi which you can call a bet from a player who drew 1 or value bet than you are to make a 10 badugi.

I'm no expert on Badugi, but I agree with what badgerer said.

Generally speaking, it doesn't really make sense to check a predraw badugi down to the last betting round. If you decide to play it, you need to show aggression, since you don't want to give your opponents free draws - remember that they'll almost always have you beat if they hit their own badugi. As long as they're drawing, however, you can be sure that you're ahead, so you should put the money in at that point. Besides, you're hand is pretty much face up if you stand pat and keep checking.

Thanks badgerer;you`re the best. :f_drink: are you a reg?
some questions
1) in the firts hand:if I raise and the villane re-raise.what happen?what is my probably to win this hand?what I do?
2) when my hands are ev+? how calculate that?

I`m sorry for my question of fish but I`m new

Thanks Harrier88 for the help.

later I will play a freeroll and I tell them how its goes.bye :f_drink:

ha your welcome.

i was a reg but i've moved on to mtt's so not any more.

1) in fixed limit you should not fold but pot limit its a much harder decision, this is probably one of the best hands i would consider folding but it very much depends on the opponents tendencies and how strong your perceived range is, for example if you were pat from the start your opponents will put you on a weaker range, the average dealt pat hand is something like a rough jack or a smooth queen badugi. in this case you drew 1 so your range is stronger and you dont really beat many legitimate raising hands.

2) im not sure i understand the question? if you are pat and your opponent is drawing you are basicly always a favourite except in extreme situations where you might be very slightly behind but only on the first draw. its actually not that likely that a 3 card hand will make a strong badugi. you can find a few different sources of information on badugi odds using google.

dont worry about it, its only a freeroll. your playing to gain experience right?

1st hand is fine

2nd hand fold pre, try to avoid drawing 2 cards unless its free or in pot limit sometimes you can overlimp in position with 2 cards lower than 5 because you have implied odds.

3rd hand, SB's 3 bet looks strong but we cant know for sure seeing as this is a freeroll there is always suspicion that they are overvaluing a worse draw or maybe they dont even know the rules and are patting without a badugi. seeing as you have nearly a quarter of your stack in already i dont mind your shove but perhaps a better option here is to minraise pre and decide between calling in position or folding if you get raised.

In the second hand. Can you explain more about my implied odds? because I cant understand.I dont know how calculate that. :f_confused:
and in the 3rd hand, I think that, the villane have a high badugi,or a god tri hand or lower case don`t know the rules anything.
like you got reason, I would to minraise pre and look where I stand.
thanks badgerer

1) raise pre draw 1, calldown is fine as pot is big and villain is pat pre therefore has a weaker range.

2) easy fold.

3) raise pre keep betting until you get resistance, as played fold if SB is passive (they probably are in this game) otherwise its fine.

4) raise pre keep betting, patting the J is standard, check call on river is ok.

5) i draw 3 on 1st but many would draw 2 here, i think its better to try to draw a strong 3 card hand as a 3 card 7 is not strong, as played cap the 7 after 2nd then bet/call after 3rd.
