Ok so we are talking the Twister SNG's. I understand that it can be fun to add a little more gambling to your game and have a chance of winning a big pot. Its much the same as people playing jackpot tables hoping for 4 of a kind or better and willing to pay the extra rake or fee for the chance.
However just think about if you could win the jackpot every time. This is only theoretical of course, but here is what I mean. For every $10 twister SNG you play and it comes up $20, than you are paying 5 dollars in tournament fees. That is 4 dollars more than the norm. A normal $10 dollar SNG has a $1 fee.
Now lets say you play 3000 twister games per month. That's 100 per day. Not hard to do for someone who is really into these games. So for every time the wheel comes up on $20, you lose $4 extra dollars more than what you would of if you had played a regular SNG. That's $400 per day and an incredible $12000 per month. Now this is what you have to win to break even!!!
So do you see my point? Lets say you get lucky and every month you hit a $10000 jackpot and you are lucky enough to go on and win it. You are still down $2000 for the month!!! You still need to make up $2000 with all of your other wins from different $ increments for the month just to break even!!!
So who is winning with the twister SNG's? The poker room and the poker room only lol!!!
You can scale this down to any amount all the way to $1 but the results are the same. You can not win long term with these games.
The wheel comes up $2 100 times per day so you lose .2333 cents more per SNG. $23.333 per day and $700 per month. Not sure what you can max the wheel on a $1 buy in but if you do max it and you are lucky enough to win. Than you still have win the difference between the max win and $700 with all of the other games in different $ increments to break even. You can't beat the math!!! It's the same as the casino games. The odds are already stacked in favor of the house!!!
Are people going to still play them? Of course but it is for the rush of that spinning wheel. Not for any long term money you are going to win from these games.
