First of all, makes it easier to play, since you can fold to a raise, and you protect your hand.

Then reevaluate turn, probably bet most turn cards and check back river.

Bet most turns? On overcards it would be turning hand into bluff which might be ok if we barrel river as well, on spade its kind of same thing to me, on blank its would be still protection, but Im not sure if there are that many hands in his range that we can protect against on turn.

ANyways, I guess its not very different in EV whether we xb flop or bet, so what do you think about calling river as played against him?

It would be quite interesting, when we bet flop and get raised. That would be a good line to take by him. However, bet while he can call with draws, not call when he's betting when we're already behind.

I just looked at the hand, and as played, he raises big the river, then that he's fishy and fish river raises are very nutted. I say that, before I checked the spoiler. But seems like it's correct in this case. So vs a big raise vs a fishy player, I would fold.
