bad trips in 3bet pot

I think I play terrible the hand, but I think I finally find why I was played bad and the reason I think it was because I played like a maniac in 3bet pote, thinking so much in the low SPR and not the posible range of my opponent and for this reason going AI very very light.
Opponent: Unknown (only 3 hands of him)
Preflop: He's the bottom of my OR in btn and I call because the PP has some connection. (It can be fold pref I think easily)
Flop: The truth when I was playing was oooooo great a trips but I didn't see I was under trips and with very few outs against 7A for exemple and with a high SPR for a 3bet pote of nearly 10. For those reason I think it was better of called and to go to showdown with this decent hand.
Turn: When he donk bet pote a lot of time I think he hits the straight with 89 or 9Q, or sometimes with a slowplay like JJ but with this hand I don't think he bet that big. So it's like 90% of the time at least a straight, so I have 6outs (1 to poker and 5 to full) so only 12% of equity and I need 33%,so I have to fold. This is now when I have time to think, but when I was playing it was like ooo again he hits i don't believe it so insta call. (Don't know how to improve this bad process of play and it happens to me much more in 3bet pote don't know why).

He shows 9dJhQc8s and I was more tild because I think how he can be that bad to call with this terrible hand a raise he's like dead against all range of raise. xD

I dont like 3bet with this hand. It's paierd, and with 2 gaps. The only reason why I could consider 3bet is for steal equity and versus unk I am going toward hands with more showdown value. As played on postflop I play the same.

I would fold too. Hand is pretty bad, so I suppose the raise from the BTN was just a steal (at least it would be for me). To open BTN with that hand hero should estimate that the blinds fold often enough to make instant profit with either winning the pot preflop or with a flop cbet. Now when someone 3bets that plan failed. No reason to continue with the hand.

Hah i love how nobody comments on postflop

Anyways this deep this is a clear call preflop. Your raise size is fine, and calling the turn is fine as well. However the point here is that you made is so small that he in fact isn't dead vs your raise range. So with that in mind, you played your hand quite fine, so no need to be angry here. Keep in mind you are going to have to make marginal stackoffs if you defend hands like this, so if you are not comfortable then just fold like it was mentioned above.

regards,

Skod
