I would bet bigger on flop and turn. Since this is a limped pot I would probably just call the river pot bet vs. unknown.

thanks for lettin me know what some of you would do. I'll relax a bit against unkowns, but looking back I think betting stronger on the the flop/turn may have had villain folding. Still not enough to know about opponent. She could have x/c x/c and gone all in once the JJ's hit. Either way, im not sure how I played this one.

Hi,

I would bet bigger on flop - even overpot is fine, as I think they are not folding anything here, if they have something. If they can call 2/3 of a pot, they can call overpot here.

Turn again, you should just bet bigger.

I would just jam that river. He could have slowplayed 3x (A3, K3, 43+...), and he could even have slowplayed aces or JQ. So definitely going all-in here 100bb deep.

I am not a fan of limping preflop, I prefer to raise and maybe win the hand preflop if everybody folds. Plus I can bluff alot of flops if I cbet, if I hit hte set I am able to put more money into the pot etc.

Interesting thoughts, raising preflop makes sense, ive recently started limping with low pairs whereas before I was raising mostly. But if im willing to limp and call raise I might as well raise.

I clearly was not protecting my hand, overbetting for value makes a lot of sense. I think i will play these types of hands much more aggressively before the river. At the time I had put them on QT+ , so when the J hit I though oh even better, theyve possibly improved their "two-pair". JJ was definitely unexpected, which is why i think if i'd raised preflop, Id include JJ in their range.

Checking from BB with JJ for the free flop, is this something anyone else has done?
