How obtain more value?
When you raise the turn, you're effectively turning your hand face up as you likely never do this with a bluff. The flop check is great giving him the opportunity to bluff or bet wider for value. Given how we have played that hand we should just call turn and let him continue to bluff at the pot on the river given his range is likely very wide/bluff heavy. If you do want to raise the turn I think jamming is going to look weaker and potentially get more calls unless you have a read that suggests otherwise.
I would call the turn as well, because his turn bet looks weak as well and I would check/shove on most rivers.
Yes, the check in the turn would have been definitely the best option and maybe also in the river.
