Only a few hands from BB but is a TAG. Do not really know what this donk, I made cap prelfop and normal is to do the c-bet. I'm in a WA / WB situation? By ignoring opponent I can make a call down? You may think you've linked a few times and so still bluffing?
A raise on the flop would have been the more appropriate?

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.20 Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players

Preflop: Hero is BTN with T T
CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls

Flop: (8.5 SB) Q 5 3 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls

Turn: (5.3 BB) 9 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls

River: (7.2 BB) 3 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls

Results: 9.2 BB pot (0.4 BB rake)
Final Board: Q 5 3 9 3
BB showed Q A and won 8.9 BB (4.4 BB net)
Hero mucked T T and lost (-4.5 BB net)

The advice these days is not to cap anything preflop heads up in position. You give away too much information. But I don't consider it an error to cap with what can be the best hand.

This is a call-down. You lose to JJ/QQ/KK/AA/AQ/KQs (and perhaps KQ and more) on the flop. You beat AK/AJ/AT/KJs (and perhaps more, like 88/77). I don't think he is bluffing much on the river (he really shouldn't be betting AK/AJ/AT), but chances are that he does sometimes (the dude donks vs your cap, not optimal with a monster) - and you get 8:1 meaning you need to take it down 12.5% of the time. Folding TT would be exploitative and exploitable. TT is the second nut bluff catcher (after JJ and possibly AQ and KQs (You probably don't cap with KQ, Qx, with x <= J)) .

Edit: And oh, a raise on the flop is horrible. It is likely to cost you money both if you are ahead (he might fold hand you want him to call with OTT or OTR, besides, you don't let him bluff) and if you are behind (he'll x/r turn and you might have to call down).

Ty Yohan! This does not to cap repflop in hu pots, applies to situations generally hu IP? Cap hu OOP it´s most correct?
The only reason to not cap prelfop on hu pots it´s for "balancing"? Ty again!

Capping IP HU preflop can certainly be balanced by capping some weaker hands too, but it is (almost) provably not GTO. The Cepheid robot (Google it if you don't know) doesn't do it ever. It is simply more profitable to call, call flop and raise turn as a standard line.

I have my doubts about capping HU OOP too. But this depends on the opponent. Note that this is a very rare situation (the opponent limp-reraises).

With two or more opponents it can never ever be a big mistake to cap for value preflop, even IP, so don't worry too much about those hands, just pump in the bets.

I am developing frequently the line Call 3bet prelfop -> call flop/raise turn. I get more value; most of the time keep doing Cap in multiway pots.. I would like to inquire about when it can be profitable cap OOP in hu pots.. Ty again!
