From a young age I've always loved playing cards. My grandparents taught me gin rummy when I was 5 and we used to play every week. My sister then taught me a game called switch and I used to play in my school all the time (often getting my cards confiscated).
I fell in love with poker at the age of 13 after watching James Bond Casino Royale (cliche I know haha). Anyways after a little research I realized poker was less tuxedos and booze and more hard work, dedication and mathematics. This for me peaked my interest, as such a game offered the chance for me to make really good money and have a love for what I was doing. At 18 I lost a couple hundred online, did no work to improve my game, didn't practice bankroll management and in the end cried RIGGED at all poker sites (as many players that are losers do, I do realize that online poker is not rigged now however). My most previous endeavor was at age 19 on Pokerstars where I built an $80 bankroll up to $280 before frittering it away on mid stake sit and gos.
The reason behind me joining this site and giving poker a solid final chance is that it has been my dream to be a pro for so long and I want to realize it. I honestly cannot picture myself doing anything else, now aged 20 I feel like I've let go of my previous impulsiveness and want to grind my way towards my goal. Here's hoping 2015 is my year haha.
