SB: $19.34 (120.9 bb)
Hero (BB): $19.14 (119.6 bb)
UTG: $17.98 (112.4 bb)
MP: $16 (100 bb)
CO: $57.40 (358.8 bb)
BTN: $20.56 (128.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 9
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.32, SB folds, Hero calls $0.16

Flop: ($0.72) 9 8 A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.32, Hero raises to $1.12, BTN calls $0.80

Turn: ($2.96) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.44, BTN calls $1.44

River: ($5.84) T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.88, Hero folds

Preflop: Standard call.

Flop: Hit top two, I believe it's a great spot for check/raising. I expect alot of calls from top pairs and draws.

Turn: TJ and a flushdraw came there. I believe I could still bet with the intention of check/folding the river.

River: 9-high flush is probably not good there, so I think I have to check/fold.

BTN: 43/29/7 (VPIP/PFR/H)

What hands will call your turn bet?

I supose Ax is still calling, especially with K, Q or J of spades, which I also want to protect from. With checking I'm giving him a free card, while I still might be ahead.

I think your bet on the turn is a value bet Alleen86, up to around 75% it is imo, 75 might be to thin though and more as a blocking bet than anything else. Making assumPPPPPPPtion however that some of Ax without a spade would actually fold that turn over there, I think river of course is a snap fold and on a non-spade riv I think you could still make a veery thin value bet going for a snap-fold vs raise, even if our play would be 1/5 PSB imho.

The river check-fold might not be that clear cut. You allow him to bluff (perhaps mistakenly even for value) with his sets and worse. With the J♠: or Q♠: you must absolutely call river. With this hand, a small bet/fold may be best to stop him from bluffing you out. He can have any assortment of hands, including those without nutty flushes.

But I'm not sure. I'd not turn a set into a bluff here myself.
