$1 SnG AQos Fold Too Tight?

I didn't have a lot of reads on the opponents, but I did see the original raiser go from a large stack to nothing pretty quickly. He was calling some pretty crazy hands with some pretty crazy hands.

Given that a lot of these players are so loose, should I maybe have called?

AQ always gives me trouble, so I'm trying to work out how to play it. I used to play it more like AK (I make a lot of money with AK), but that proved to be horrible, as I always get beat by hands like AK.

Anyway, am I playing too tight in situations like the one below, or should I continue folding and trying to find better spots to gain chips?

I think it's a call tbh... AQo is pretty strong and well depending on reads on the opponent it's probably ahead of his range... and your sb so only the BB can wake up with a monster and thats unlikely. So I'ld be going broke here unless opponent is nitty..

My opinion here is that you should have called. His range is way too huge to lay that down

However, if there was a call before your turn to act (say your position and that of the BB was switched, and he called before you) it would be a fold.

easy overpush :). even against a player who is a bit tighter. i mean: he pushes 5.5BB first in from the CO... AQ should crush his range

I went back to this hand today and looked at a couple hands before.

One of the factors into the fold was the fact that the BB was calling almost every push. He started short stacked and pushed and won against another player, then kept calling almost every all-in push.

I knew I would be way ahead of the BB's range for sure, and the original raisers. So yeah, I guess I should have pushed.

I have just been really upset about my losses with AQ. They seem to give me some troubles.

I agree with this. Remember to not be results orientated. Post your hands, and if you made the right move, that's all that matters.. results will come in the long term.
