Was my fold justified here? Should I have played the hand differently? I was actually considering a fold pre-flop, as the 4BB UTG raise was suspect. Villain had vpip of roughly 24%, aggression factor of 2, and infinite on the flop.

Had 30th place in chips. 130 left out of 465. 72 get paid.

Also in this situation it’s good to know how much he’s raising. So it would be nice to know his PFR stats as well.

His raise sizing is indeed suspicious, but it’s that only if he raised smaller before from UTG as well. If this is his standard sizing it’s not suspicious for me.

Without this info I would call here as well pre-flop. Now he’s shoving on flop it’s for me difficult to believe he will do that with a over pair or better. So without reads I would most likely call here.

Cheers,

Herocall imo. Makes no sense to do this kind of overshove with JJ+ (we beat JJ though). It would be nice to know how opponent is raising from EP.
