why do I suck at Regular tables?

I have moved the thread to the No–limit section. Than the cash gamers will find you’re thread earlier.

Maybe it’s good to know what you’re ZOOM and regular tables stats looks like. So it’s good to know how you play on every position in both formats and variance could be a issue as well.

If you have 30,000 hands in each format, then you have all the answers you need !!!!!

If you are using HM2 then it is simple:
Tab Opponents, tab summaries
(run this twice with filters for zoom then regular)

eg. from my stats, 6max micro NLH (regular) last 30,000 hands the composite villain average stats are :
VPIP 21.7 % PFR 14.2% 3Bet 5.2

Imo, regular table players are much more likely to adapt/recognise your playing foibles (on average.depends)
whereas in zoom , for me anyway, I don't really have enough time to understand different bunch of villains each hand, but at a regular table its impossible not to notice a 100% stealer on your right

Good Question !

For the purposes of assessing the whole field, we should count ourselves in?
(depending on ....) our own stats will make a significant contribution...but probably lie not to far from the norm to make a significant difference

Still it is a general question about game and player types, so coarse statistics are still a good guide imo
(we are not building a rocket engine)

I thought Fast games people are folding more but looks not...
It really could be variance, or more fishes in the fast format.. .don't really know..
But I did change my c-betting to less bluff and more value, and seems to be working on regular tables, so the data could involve my stats as well....

Not sure where to go on from here.

WTSD stat fast is significantly different (mistake?)

Average stats will "average out" fishier stats if that makes any sense. As you scroll through villains you can visually appraise how many may vary significantly from the average (deviation from norm). If we were desperate for a technical answer we could cut and past HM2 data into a stats programs, the format with the highest standard deviation from the norm, I expect would be the "fishiest"

For my self, I play regular games well but have never adjusted to fast well.

WTSD for fast game is 28 indeed i was surprised about it too

Tentatively, that's our answer then, regular tables are fishier, (and by extension you need to learn to fish if you play them.
